The weasles continue to evade us, but the squirrels cooperated today. The little girl was pretty boastful about catching the biggest one.

If I remember right those little pine squirrels went for 4$ USD in the last FHA auction.

We have a buyer at $2.50 frozen whole. I'm not sure if we are going to sell them that way, or put them up. I don't have a good place to put up fur currently, but I bet my bride would let me put them up in the bathroom. Not sure if I want to deal with it though.

We eat plenty of the red squirrels in the fall before they fur up, and all of the grey squirrels we catch or shoot.

What do the white weasel pelts, with the dark tails sell for raw? I think I have a market for a few hundred.

I believe that we got $10 for long tails, and $5 for shorttails last winter. The guy I sold to has a limited market, but he always buys from my kids. Not sure what people got elsewhere.

You could skin a couple while you were sitting on the throne to make the most of your limited time.

I suppose you are right 160. Just have to find a place to hang them to dry. Just so you know, all of the squirrels caught so far have been in traps that the boys got from you, and they sure appreciate it.

Well don't hang them in the bathroom or they will smell like..........well you know. And those traps came from YOU, not me!
