The Supreme Court will allow Texas to use a congressional map that adds as many as five Republican seats for next year’s midterm elections, boosting the GOP’s chances of retaining control of the House of Representatives.

The justices on Thursday set aside a lower court decision from last month that had blocked the new electoral lines and ordered Texas to use its existing ones. The lower court found that the new map was an unconstitutional racial gerrymander, but the Supreme Court said that decision appeared to be wrong.

“The District Court improperly inserted itself into an active primary campaign, causing much confusion and upsetting the delicate federal-state balance in elections,” the unsigned order from the Supreme Court said.

The court’s three liberal justices dissented.

A Utah district court judge overrode the state legislature approved district map and selected a map that will result in Democrats winning elections in Utah. Activism by rogue unelected judges is sucking power away from duly elected representatives and the people. The liberal lawfare continues all over the country. So vile.
