I tried searching and can't search older than 3 years apparently. Maybe 5 or so years ago there was a thread with an article about the sustainability of fur and the harm that the process of making modern clothing with micro plastics causes. Anyone know how to find that?

I don’t, but I believe polyester is very bad in that regard. Especially when it gets hot

Synthetic fiber hunting clothes are all the rage. They are good at insulating, and weatherproofing. But they are dangerous near an open campfire. They will catch a spark and burn and melt quickly.

United we stand.

Yes, it melts when it burns. In the 70s, the Navy and Coast Guard adopted a work uniform that was polyester. After the first shipboard fire, that uniform was scrapped. I hated it from the beginning. It was very hot and the shirt was a jumper that only had a few buttons. Hard to beat cotton work uniforms on a ship. I think Adm. Zumwalt was in charge then.
