Baby rabbits will easily go through that wire. Even 1" by 1" is to big to prevent all losses, if a baby gets out of the nest too soon.

Just initial construction for the adults for now , the 2x4 is for the bottom to keep them from digging out 1x 2 for the sides planning on going back with some smaller stuff down the road

Save any scraps you have of the small wire and put it on the bottom of mommas cages.

I'm pretty sure I've used the same wire you have to.build cages, if you lay out the entire roll of small wire and cut the big one in half you can make 3 cages all connected all 30x39 or something like that.

So figured I'd try and get a litton more life out of the floor wire by painting it ..works on my cages so why not this. So any of it was would make ground contact got a coat ...not the best but it's something

Ok next , add waffle to the new hammer because I lost my other one and I just refuse to nail staples without waffles

And then 45 min of stabling while adding the dig wire.. not as pretty as I'd like but it's ok I guess

The rabbits will chew the treated wood. It won't be good for them, but it may not be fatal. Putting some fruit wood branches in the pen may make it less of an issue.

14ga 1"x2 for the main protection on the sides , then over the top with more of the 2x4 for hawks and the like every thing has a bit over over lap and I still gotta go back and hog ring the stuff in conjunction with the staples and zip ties , jack up wheels like in the chicken tractor, hay on the bottom lil house int the corner , last thing I need to do is add a tarp. I'm also thinking of adding like a lil two story deal like you see on some of the pre made hutches but idk.. anyhow it's gonna get moved every two weeks to a moth or so . All that being said I might have to add a hot wire to it because of the dogs. I highly highly doubt they will get though it's just there annoying the tar out the critter ... They could give two craps around the chicken or quail but anything small and furry

Dogs will get used to him in short order as long as can't get to him. Hot wire would speed that up though. I do prefer the J clips for the wire connections.

Ya know I actually never even thought of that. I know he's weird though , he doesn't on anything except feed... But I tossed som.limbsbin there for him if he changes his mind ... Now when I get a few more in there that might be different
