On the vacuum jar sealer post other day. I had picture of the jars I use to marinate some venison. Thought I would put up picture of what 6lbs dried venison jerky looks like. This is drier than the store bought stuff and what some dont like. Its almost like soda cracker, Dry enough should be able to store just sitting on shelf. Although it usually doesn't last long anyway.

Uses a recipe my son likes and even changed up the spice mix each rack. Still a bit Spicer than I like. Should have done one tray with sweeter mix. Oh well next time.

Yeah and I forget. I make most all my things under strict lab supervision. They are also lab tested and lab approved.

Looks good!

I usually stick a toothpick through an end and hang the strip in between the oven rack bars, you can hang a LOT of strips on 2 oven racks and no grates to clean....just need a box of toothpicks handy....

Now that's a good idea! I have a LEM Oven rack but it doesn't hold a ton.
Or you could get those wooden skewers for shish kebabs and load a few up at once.

Ive done all those kinda things in past, hang sausage, weiners. Spacing on most smoker and oven racks dont work well for some size item The racks I use now are actually called cooling racks. Only thing I would like better is if they were stainless. I have them in two sizes some fit smoker some my commercial warmer. They are 1/4 mesh anf I can smoke or dry pretty much anything on them. I find it simpler for way I do things. Your right about cleaning can almost require pressure washer. These 3 in photo I took in slop sink with stiff brush.
