My sister just sent me an iphone 12, finally upgrading from the 7 which i can't believe was still working.
Anyways I got everything transferred over, but I still cannot make calls or text. I erased my old phone. updated the latest ios. Tried to restart and see if anything changed.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
I am connected to wifi so I can use the internets but I have no phone right now to communicate with family and it's freaking me out.

The battery on my 11 died a few days ago. I went to the Verizon Store and they gave me a sweet deal on a 16. They transferred everything over and I know the new 16 had to be activated before I could text or call. At the same time the 11 was deactivate for texting and calling.

I can still used the 11 for everything but calling and texting since it was deactivated.

It sounds like your 12 may need activated.
