I bought my Fur machine many years ago at a regular sewing machine and repair store, It's a Bonis
I bought a slug of needles at the time from the same place, but have also order the looper from Bonis in New York as well, though they can be a bit snotty helping you with service. I now just go back to the same store I bought my machine from and they are happy to order parts if they break, and I order my sewing line from them as well
I only use T-90 weight thread, what ever color I need, same thread on any fur I sew, as it's very strong, for wide seams or double overs.
The loopers are what are expensive though, so I don't run my machine faster than I need to, especially on heavy seams.
I have broken only three loopers in 30 years of using the machine, because of the cost of them, have not bought one for 10 years now, I'd guess they are over $90.00 or so now plus shipping if you catch Bonis on a happy day, LOL
