Do any of you go to a Doctor of Osteopathy, instead of an MD, for your general practioner?

My regular MD is on a hiatus. I like her quite a bit. I had my annual today and they assigned me a DO, who is in residency. He seems capable. I know DOs are supposed to be more holistic. What do you guys think of them compared to MDs?

I don't see one as a patient because I don't go to a doctor but for what its worth I have worked along side many DO's in both small hospitals and large trauma centers and if it wasnt on their shirts I honestly couldn't have told a difference.

My primary is a DO. She is great. VERY proactive, always takes her time with me, never rushed out. She did confide in me that she is not at doctor. She is a "data entry clerk". She is the only DR in her practice, she files all the insurance paperwork. So much insurance BS to file with each visit, pennies offered against billing. I asked why does she not join a large DR office, " I do not want to be told I have time limit with my patiences(sp)". I honestly hope I die before she retires.
