With extra time off for holidays I’m always wondering about something special to cook. Aldi has standing prime rib roasts for a good price compared to other stores. I think 8.99 /lb. Sale started yesterday and they always sell out. Circled the ad for him and asked him to grab one since I was at work and he was off. He went to our local Aldi and there was none to be had. So he traveled to another Aldi and grabbed one! This one is big enough for me to cut in half and freeze some for a later date.
Can’t wait for this decadent treat!

I would be thinking Souse Vide 56.7c with a temp probe in it , sealed up with butter and seasoning, when it hits 132f inside and a quick sear on the outside when it comes out of the bag.

that would be tasty

I mean you make beaded purses , just saying

I think some of the happiest guys around cook and work on their own vehicles , that way they are never waiting on the disappointment that is sure to come with anyone else ding either for you.

GCP, I'm pretty sure Ness is secure enough in his masculinity to take a little good natured ribbin.

I better go to the local Aldi's and see if I can score one.

You don't find them close to that price around here.

Crazy that you mentioned this. A guy at last night's choir practice told me the very same thing about the prime rib roast at Aldis for $8.99. After seeing your photo, I will be stopping to get one. Looks great! Thanks!

Glad some of you are getting one!

I usually make a horseradish rosemary butter for the top. Will have mashed potatoes and maybe asparagus or Brussels sprouts .

I think Aldi has rack of lamb on sale this week too but I think that’s a loaded topic here…
Some of you find it yucky!
