I don't quite get the point.

The gun is a G3 model. Picked .40 cal as it offers the longest range.

The point, I typically like muzzleloader season best, it's cold and there's snow and it's also when I have time off work. I have land in western MN which is Prarie, with a good spotting scope you can see through miss Johnsons windows 5 miles away! The deer are already very weary after rifle season and this gun closes the distance. We also hunt cattail swamps, extremely tough to track or find deer in these swamps, should be able to anchor deer with this gun.

Is it a sabot bullet?

Buddy had custom one built but don't remember caliber. Kicks so bad he is not able to even develop a load for it.
