We have one that helped me quite a bit with back pain when I used it regularly. It helped decompress the disks and get healthier circulation going. But when I had a hip replacement that was the only restriction my surgeon gave me. "Do anything you want but hang from your feet". My wife still uses it when her back needs loosened. We only used it on a gentle incline. When I tried it more vertical the blood rushing to my head made it too uncomfortable to stay at it long enough to do any good for my back. A gentle incline is all you need.

Diane has an inversion table, she used to use it a lot, but hasn't used it for probably 5 years now. It helped her with back and sacrum pain. It just sits in a mostly unused front bedroom. I tried it once and didn't like it. It was uncomfortable on my feet and ankles and made the blood go to my head.

After surgery on my knee, I had to use a different sort of tip table. It had a hard rubber, ball like base, with a square platform on top, so that it was wobbly. I had to balance on it and bounce a 20 pound medicine ball into a wall, back to me and catch it. It was to help me regain my balance. My physical therapist told me the therapist who thought of it became a multi millionaire from the idea.
