I got a call yesterday evening about beaver removal guy said he tore out 2 dams on creek on Sunday and by Monday morning they built 3 back guess I’ll go look it over this morning and see if I can be of help to him I’ll post some pics when I get there and see what’s shakin

They're popping up here too. I have four sites in town that I need to get to.

We've been in a drought down here since mid-October....until past few days. But, the 3" we got was over a 3 day stretch. The branches & creeks still ain't running.

Only one beaver call since Labor Day and it was pond beavers.

Took little longer than I thought to get started !! Slipped on creek bank threw back out finally set traps Friday and went back today and everything is well outta the water the landowner decided to bust the dams with his trachoe this morning lol so I’m gonna leave traps out tonight and pull tomorrow he is not happy cause I made him pay my minimum charge yesterday and I cashed his check lol here is couple pics from today

Good luck but If I were you, I would have those trigger wires under water. Bend them in the shape of a tee turn your trap over so the tee is just under water. It will improve your catch rate.

Thanks and I’ll do the trap flip and wire turn next setting but as I said earlier I had traps set already then landowner tore dams out and water dropped exposing traps

Rule #1....always tell landowner not to EFF with the dam. You tell them .

You need the water at that level ,to do your job

I had a call on some beaver today, I need to get them going. I did catch one beaver and a nutria at another job I have going. I'm guessing the new beaver trapping law in Oregon will create a boom for business, too bad its bad for fur trappers and beaver though
