The point is that the distaste for Muslims shown in this thread isn't really based in any sort of principle. If it were, then that distaste would include the muslims shown by BC, and you'd have no problem expressing your disagreement with trump. But, the reality is that the fact that they're Muslim is just a convenient excuse to hate on someone based on nothing other than the fact they're they're not like you. Muslims are bad, unless tour favorite politician shakes their hand and smiles, I guess.

I have no problem saying all Muslims are a problem and shouldn't be trusted, INCLUDING the ones that Trump shakes hands with and smiles with and promises to protect. Are you willing to do the same?

I absolutely am. If Trump actually said he would feel safe in Mamdani's NYC, then you can officially consider me off Team Trump. Although, honestly I have been since he's been having the gov't take up equity in private businesses.

That said, if the 2024 election was held over again today, I don't know that I would have voted differently. Trump, this second term, has not been very good at all, IMO, but he surely would still have been better than Kamala.

And, he agreed to sell F-35s to the Saudis. And, he and his family and friends are killing it with business deals with the rich Muslims. If they have money, he doesn't care if they are terrorists.

I have no love for the Muslims. I have no interest in just attacking their countries and getting into foreign wars for no reason, but I absolutely don't want them taking over the US or Europe--so boot them/keep them out. And, stop excusing the President of the United States when he sucks up to Muslim kings/sheiks/whatever for a buck.

I am jealous of the ability of some folks to be lown about by the shifting winds, following whatever a a politician tells them, without any principle. It's probably a lot easier to just follow the crowd than to stand on principle even when it's hard.
