You will get less money for them in my experience because buyers will assume you're hiding something. I did a bunch of civets that way once to show off their unique mosaic of colors. Got about a third less than normal.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

We have 3 state auctions every year in Michigan. The Kalamazoo sale in late Jan or early February brings out a lot of craft buyers. Sometimes the fur out stuff sells very well there. If you are shipping or the fur will be going to Canada, you should put the fur in

Definately fur side in. The stripe pattern shows through on the leather, so the buyer can see that.

As a fur buyer, my biggest concern on skunks, is how well it is fleshed, especially in the neck and shoulder area. In my experience that is the area (after the tail) this is most likely to slip in the dressing. If the pelt is fur out, it is difficult to access the fleshing job 100%.

I will say, the skunk trappers on Tman that post pictures are doing a bang up job on fleshing and stretching. I’m especially liking the pinned out tails.

Some of the craft buyers seems to like them fur out if you sell at local auctions. General fur market, stay with fur in.
