Never seen this before. Started to skin and they just poured out. Heard of wristworm before, is this it? I made sure to clean my knives good and disinfected everything.

Those are really common in mink and otters too, in the joints.

Want to say they are guinea worms, but could be wrong.

Not uncommon. Very gross, but not uncommon.

those are guinea worms. raccoons and other water going critters pick them up by drinking infected water.

Guinea woms don't effect humans and don't hurt the fur so they get skinned

Its always a surprise when you nick an ankle and them little things come pouring out.

We ate them and whatever other roadkill was available.

I don't have to eat them now and will continue my boycott on crockpot surprise meals !
