Here's another giant body whitetail. This one was taken right next door to me.

This clipping from an old issue of the Outdoor News shows Moorhead, Minnesota resident Vernon Hoganson admiring the behemoth-sized buck he brought down during the 1969 firearms deer season.

The real tragedy with this deer is that it was never put on a scale. Because of that, all we can do is speculate on how heavy it may have been.

What is your guess-timate on its weight?

We need to start weighing these giant deer simply because of their rarity and to preserve their rightful place in deer hunting history.

Jeesh ! What a beast.
Have to skid him out with the mule !

I have an article in an old magazine from the 60's wit a buck from Maine that weighed over 400 lb field dressed.

I'll post a pic ... if I can find it.

This one here looks even bigger though.

Thanks

Yes, not only the hind quarters but the very deep chest and huge shoulder area.

That presents a very big target when shooting at either of the deer in both photos. Two monsters!

Got a gift from my brother. It was 3 AA batteries with a note that said, Gift Not Included.
