I agree Lee makes a fine knife.

But, that's not what you asked. Out of what you asked, there is not even a close comparison. I've owned both knives. The necker is trash. The Caribou is top notch. I was convinced I was incapable of fleshing, until I threw out my necker and bought a caribou. The difference is that pronounced.

X4 on the Lee Steinmeyer knife

But read this thread....lots of good info and discussion about the pros and cons of many different knives including the Necker.

I thought this might help to show the difference side by side. Funny the stuff you collect over the years.
From the bottom up, necker 600 Lee's, caribou, pcs ausable, and i forget the top one.

Yes

I also use a smooth high carbon steel to tune and adjust the angle of the sharp edge.

I think you'll be much happier with the caribou.

For me:
#1 Lee's parallel
#2 & close ZEPH
#3 Caribou ( mostly just hangs on wall, to thin and limber for coyotes and cats. First one I had snaped in half. Was replaced at a discount from maker)

All good at being sharp.
Never have used a Post. ??

Lee has a great knife. I have 2 different ones
Also have a post curved edge. Another great knife
All three knives put most others to shame
Makes beavers and coyotes flesh like nothing Ive used before
You’ll have to pay for good fleshing knife but you’ll only pay once!
