I cant tell you how many of my wife not only plays but also choir preforming and practices sat through. She lived 45 mins away but I made the drive and took her home after practices and went to every performance.

Keep her from dealing with the irritation of her mom getting mad because she would have to pick her up. Heaven forbid she wouldn't get to drink her beer on those night. Needless to say it rubbed me the wrong way. So I made sure she had a ride home. And I sat through countless practices because of it. Heck I was there so much I went on a field trip to St Louis with her school and I wasn't even a student in that district. I dont think that would fly today.
