I am aware they are just convection ovens

I own one of those 1980s or 1990s brown with glass door convection ovens purchased from a good will around 15 years ago , but I cook bullets in it 10 minutes 400 degrees I also do kydex for holsters so not what I want to put food in although it looks clean.

the smell , the first time I bought a new Nesco roaster it Rolled smoke for like 20 minutes , had to plug it in outside and just let it cook off for and hour then it wasn't bad.

I would normally be a no, but you can see the people who like them really like them and the other people already have a way they like to cook their meat.
and this is all about ways to make delicious meat preparation easy and accessible to people don't already know how they like every type of meat prepared.

the market here is not Traeger dad it is Instapot mom , who wants good food is willing to buy good meat as long as she has an easy accessible way to put it on the table.
she isn't spending all day smoking a brisket she is running kids to practice , piano lessons and trying to get the errands run. and a better than 50% chance she already has an air frier on her counter.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Simple to reduce temps in the middle of cooking or cover something with foil.
I guess that’s the only bad thing. The fan will blow the foil around if you don’t apply it tightly. And forget trying to make a grilled cheese in one because it’ll blow the bread all over creation

I was just headed into walmart when I thought I'll have another cup of coffee.I was just going in to get one of that brand...

Bingo. Trying to grill and smoke stuff when its 5 degrees and blowing 30 mph isn't a lot of fun

All joking aside I was skeptical on doing meats in it till I tried it. It's not as good as off the smoker or grill or flattop, but it ain't bad. Little olive oil and some rub pork chops and steaks come out pretty dang good.

And I'm not gonna debate food with folks that prefer bass and catfish over brook trout and walleye. whistle
