I have not had a day when I didn't do something that could be construed as work, even when I was in the hospital, since February of 1998, when I was in Italy for 14 days. That doesn't mean that I bust my butt working all the time anymore. I work much, much less than I used to and less than I should.

I am, will have a paid holiday on Christmas Day. In the telecommunications industry there are not many national holidays observed.

In the next 2 weeks I work 2.5 days and I was off today too. I had to get my vacation down to 40 hours for the carry over. I would've been ok but my wife and I didn't take much time for vacations this summer and I didn't take many days off this fall for bowhunting because of the warm weather. I would be hunting the antlerless holiday hunt here but Grant county is not in that this year. The only southern farmland county not in it that I'm aware of. I'm not an ice fisherman so I guess I'll hang out with the dog and cat.

I’m off. Still have to do some work each day, but I’m off. Taking the boys out hunting and having a good time with family.

on my side of telcoms , luckily we spread the load and go no changes as of yesterday at noon that we just have to have on call people those days.

I'm off Christmas eve, Christmas Day and NY day. Main office is shut down 12/24 - 1/1, so extra job 12/26 - 12/31. Extra cash paying for trip to SHOT Show in January, bobcats are going to pay for the toys I buy there.

I have a large project that must be completed and in the mail by the 31st. Since I work exclusively at home, I will work next week on the 22nd and 23rd for no more than a couple hours each day. No work on the 24th or 25th. Beginning on the 26th I will work 2-4 hours per day until the project is completed and in the mail by the 31st.

On the 24th i will cook and bake something good. Lobster tails and scallops sautéed in garlic butter make a nice dinner for Christmas Eve. Not sure what to make for Christmas Day.

First time in several weeks get the whole 2 weeks off.

I'm not working next week or the next or the next. I'm retired and feels like summer school vacation that never ends.
