Lost a couple roosters yesterday and set a trap in the yard. Walked out this morning and found my chicken thief. My neighbor has lost a couple lately as well so I see a trap at his place while I was at it. He called this morning and said we had one there too. Better hang up my traps before I ruin my average!

A little Sierra Mist may have contributed to the average! I fully expect to have a bobcat back there soon

since it is a long line and you have to travel so far to check it

Didn’t have much time with Christmas festivities starting, but I remade the one in the garden last night at dark. Empty this morning so I ruined my average. Didn’t get a chance to reset the one behind the neighbors house. Told him to take what I taught him and see if he can reset it himself.

I prefer to not call it ruining the average you start counting different, but making sure there weren't 3,4,5
but my experience isn't much with fox and if you fill all your coon traps night one if is often there are more

so as long as they are easy to check while going out to check on the chickens each day I will leave them set a while because more wander in to the smell of fowl all the time.

caught 26 coon 4 possum around the turkeys this year started trapping the 2 weeks before the turkeys came out of the brooder house , trapped till the last one went to processing.

had 5 coon the first night and had then they would come 1-2 at a time 3-5 days apart , but had to drive past the traps to check the turkey's every day any way.
