If you ever get one in a snare and its on the bank alive not on the bottom. They will come at you and can jump much higher than you would think. I was glad that one ran out of cable it was a touch close to getting me and I was up against a steep bank with no where to go. I had caught many beaver over a hand full of years before I accidentally found that out.

Congratulations on you first beaver and I agree with the others that was a great picture idea.
