Don't wait for a special occasion to get something for the wife. Example: see mentions a necklace she likes I go get it but don't hide it until her birthday or whatever. I just give it to her. Needless to say I screw myself for holiday gifts. So I asked her what she wanted for Christmas. She glared at me and said new tool sets. I walked away confused and then realized why that was her request.

We live on a farm that we don't plant (rent it). For years her dad would plant it and often stop in the garage to "borrow" a tool. Couple months ago I needed a few tools. After a few beers and digging in my tool boxes for over an hour I came to the conclusion that certain of the same tools were missing from every set. In a mini rage I packed them all up and brought them to a friends garage sale the next day.

Because of the garage tools coming up missing I keep, in my basement, a small set of essential tools. These are kept in secret from all. What I did not realize was that my wife had been using the garage tools and was left without when I got rid of them.

She is getting every tool that she could possible need for Christmas. Wrapping has been a pain! lol

A new bronco, a trip to hunt gators and hogs in Florida for a week. Also a new rifle for the hunt.

We just got back from Vegas so she could meet up and be with a friend/mentor. So that was a big part of it.

I got her fuzzy socks, a pair of insulated boots, a bible study book, and a heated blanket. She's pretty low maintenance.

We get nothing from each other. Alway put the $ to daughters and grandkids.

Nope, Just saved for the trip, and it was time for a new vehicle for her and had been saving for that also.

A new vacuum. Was looking in the jewelry store, but changed my mind.

Got this for her with the birthstones for each one of us.

If I ever did that, my wife woulda said something like, "What have you done now? You didn't buy another truck did you?!"

Great minds think alike ...got my wife a heated blanket last Christmas...

She’s into the history of it.
I got her a Roman coin last year.

Had some tanned beaver pelts made into mittens for her. Her hands are always cold and I actually put thought into it this year. My daughter got the same. My son gets an ammo box full of 20 and 12ga shells.
