you got me thinking I got one of those big ice cube maker trays and I made some a few days ago

big square of ice that just fits in the bottom of a lowball , with a bit of Jameson over the ice and a beer sounds good , so I am joining you in sipping whiskey.

Merry Christmas

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I made some sloe gin from sloe plums off the farm this year added a little quince syrup to sweeten just a tad. Holding off until New Years to enjoy.

Bottoms up Bob!

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

So do you use regular (juniper) gin along with the sloe berries, or a neutral spirit as the base?

Just English gin and the plums tinctured over about 40 days. I add a squirt of quince syrup to get the right amount of sweetness for my palate. Probably would be better if I tinctured for longer but I'm impatient.
