I usually buy a few pairs of needle nose pliers every season because I tend to lose them often during the season..
Just the cheap ones from Walmart to cut trapping wire with.
I had nova with me again today checking traps and she found a hickory nut.. I told her they were pretty tasty… so I pulled out the pliers to crack open the nut and the stinking pliers broke..
I know they are junk to start with, but they serve there purpose cutting wire and not a big deal if I loose them… but even I, didn’t think they were so crappy that they would break trying to crack open a hickory nut.
Crazy…

Get a good quality pair and a sheath for your belt to carry them in.

And paint them orange

China junk it’s common it’s worthless tape that won’t stick, wire or bolt cutters that won’t cut the package is usually made better than whats in it.

Go for harbor freight at the very least lol

I bought the $25 cable cutters made in the USA with the read handles and abused it for years I cut wire and chain with it often.



I finally bought a spare pair just to have it handy.

Most of my tools are cheap crap, lol, or OLD, good steel in the old stuff if you can find what you need....and next time use your cheap hammer on hickory nuts!, lol

I get the harbor freight needle nose got them all over great fishing equipment and trapping

I find my disposable tools at the pawn shops. Found Klein 9’s there for cheeep!

I found hot pink is easier to see in leaves. I use a wrap or 2 of the hot pink duct tape. A roll goes a long way on trapping equipment and tool I carry on tractor and side by side.
