I bought this trap in Sept, have had it set out almost every day since. I have another, older non spray skunk trap that I’ve set with it. I’ve caught skunks, opossums and even a raccoon with my older one but still nothing with the new one. Do I need to modify it or something? This thing isn’t catching anything except for my money.
Any ideas?

Does everything seem to operate smoothly on it? You ought to be able to set them side by side and compare how everything functions.
Is the trap that is catching critters larger, or in some other way more inviting?

Take the other trap away and just set the z trap.
It might be like a catch circle catching more. You're other trap stinks and the new one doesn't

Can you put a trail camera on it , just to see if any animals are even investigating it?

The new one works fine, the only difference is the trigger to set it off it on the ceiling of the tube instead of on the floor
All my cameras are in the deer woods but good idea, next time I’m out there I’m going to grab one

It sounds like the tube part is assembled upside down.
