At which point you might as well get the terminator triggers and throw the factory dog assembly away .

I use a conibear style trigger in my cage traps. I use the MB combo trigger but replace the wire with 1/8" cold rolled round stock. I find that the best trigger wire. Comes in 12' sticks. Any local steel supplier will have it.

I use the wire spreaders made for holding insulation between floor joists. Come in a box of a few dozen and are 18' or so long I think. Might be 24" ones also. I Know the are long enough to make even circle triggers for 330's. They actually flex enough that animals can push their way into them and they catch in their fur and trigger.

I've learned enough thru the years to now know that I don't know enough. KNOWLEDGE IS FREEDOM.

I use high tensile fence wire and a little bolt and nut.
