Hello
What do you all use to replace 330 triggers when they break (meaning the whiskers break off) in the middle of winter?
The trapping supply stores seem to require you to buy the entire setup, and then shipping... but I just need the whiskers.
Thank you.

I replace with Terminator Triggers and never have to replace again. This is the whole thing, not just the whiskers, but it's a once and done deal.

I saw just looking for a 220 trigger a couple of weeks ago. Tim Caven must have talked me into "buying in bulk" and I found several dozen for each size conibear. I guess it never hurts to have a few extras around.
I have nothing clever to put here.

You can drill out the rivet. Use a bolt and nut where the rivet was. Replace the trigger wires with baling wire or any stiff wire.

What Danny says. You don't need to replace the whole git-up. On the the other hand, if you use body grippers as much as i do buying those terminator triggers is dang good advice. I have some 15 years old on traps. They will never break. If possible I would go for the black rather than silver color.

Clothes hanger wire is generally too thin for the trigger brackets, resulting in a loose trigger. The clamp doesn't clamp down. Even worse with bailing wire, and bailing type wire is too flexible.

Somewhere I read where people use old metal close hangers. This is what I would do a good stiff wire soft wire would be a pain.

I replace with Terminator Triggers and never have to replace again. This is the whole thing, not just the whiskers, but it's a once and done deal. After the same issue, I followed Paul's advice and replaced all of mine with terminators. Don't need to think about it again.

Coat hangers here and for my Pa traps about 3 inches longer with the triggers spread out wide then down with one inch bent in like the old bell triggers.......jk

coat hangars would eventually break. would probably last longer than the belisles triggers though... Yea Belisle.... my favorite trap, but now Two broken triggers just this year. What is up with that? Also, if you don't re-jigger the safety after setting, the trap will likely jump over the safety. If you do rejigger the safety, then it's the best safety I've ever used.

I love all my Belisle traps, but I agree the short-lived trigger wires are crappy in that they don't last. A couple seasons in Southeast Alaska conditions and many triggers gave up the ghost. It doesn't look like rust but could be. They just break. For whatever reason, the 330s are the worst. My 120s seem to hold up better, but have had to replace those, too.
Just doing what I want now.

Surprised a trap company wouldn’t have terminator type triggers on their traps new.
