I trap my farm 200 acres, the last few years there seems to be 2 different groups of coyotes probably a mile apart that carry on at night that don't show up on my place. One group to East one to West, cameras back up the lack sign. Are they so on to the trapping they stay away. It's mostly all wooded terrain.

They never pass through?, anywhere?

Ever try setting up tight to the property boundary west and east?

Here shortly they should start moving further distance because of the breeding season. Have you ever tried a bait, maybe a road kill deer.

When one does come through it gets caught. My records show things pick up in March thru May

Can’t catch what ain’t there, lol. You have 200ac and coyotes a mile away. I’m guessing Indiana isn’t wide open land, they could have roads, creeks, etc to cross. Coyotes are gonna be where prey is but they will roam to find a mate.
