Made some reloads and mods to my dad's lil Ruger american.243 last time I was home. He finally remembered to send me a pic of them working out blush smile those 85gr game kings look like they did the job . Told him since I probably won't be able to get out in the woods for deer season he better do something lol. Actually his first ever buck

Yep ! He's usually more worried about mean hence why he's never shot a buck but she been talking about the guy a lot so hope he keeps the head safe . I'll pay to get it mounted. A Euro mount at least

Welp he finally texted me back , said he was done butchering but he he couldn't find an exnt or exit wound, or the bullet . But the way he explained it he was in the stand and ole boy cam walk out about 60-75 yd and as soon as he stopped he said he put it on his shoulder pull the trigger and he just dropped , dads not the best at explaining stuff at times , especially when he gets a lil excited lol grin I don't have the data on my phone but if I remember right had them gan kings goin like 2850 fps ? And pretty sure I was using ramshot Hunter . I got all the data back at the house lol
, really wish I was there though , already know what kinda face he probably made when he shot it and it just dropped ... But hay what can you do. Old mans beyond happy now smile and I honestly can't stop smiling for him !

There is always seems to be something special about taking deer with ammo you load.

Have your son load it next time. I ran my daughter through the process showing her how it worked then had her load about 10 for her 7mm-08 marked the ones she loaded with a marker and she shot her deer with ammo she loaded. I think she was about 9 at the time.

Well done Wolfy and Dad.
