I was looking at them and there are quite a few and was wondering what other people used? I can build one pretty easily if that’s a better route, right now I use a loader or just manhandle them, but with wet logs I have trouble moving them as there slick and was reminded of this the other day.

Ive always used a cant hook to roll the log so you don't hit the ground with your chain.log jack looks to be different as it rolls the log up and holds it off of the ground.

Houndone is there a reason you picked a cant over a peavy hook?

Mike I’m going to go with that brand, just depends on a cant vs a peavy, I see I can get a bolt on jack so that’s what I want.

I have the 60" peavy w/the bolt on jack. Great moving big logs or holding logs up off the ground to cut to length.

The only reason I went with the can't hook is they were given to me.1 is all metal and the other 1 has a wooden handle.they have really helped in keeping the chains sharp longer without hitting the dirt/frozen ground.

I’m sharpening a chain now because I’m not as fast as I used to be, then I found out now Oregon chainsaw files are junk and made in China now after six cutters the file is shot, some things went flying when I found this out.
