We had 4 inches here. It started as rain and ice and then about 3 inches blowing all over. We had places with 1 inch of icy snow and 2 foot from there a 3 foot drift. It was garbage collection day and we had large receptacles blowing down the street with lots of crap flying south at 30-50 mph.

Hard to tell how much snow we got out of this one…the wind was howling all night and most of the day. I plowed if that means anything…I only do that when I have to. If it’s drivable, I pack it down. I’d say it’s just bad enough to keep the riff raff out.

We supposedly got 0.15 inches of snow. I've never heard such a low number ever reported before. We went down to Cincinnati for a family Christmas get together. It was incredibly windy. We just got home. We have always done Christmas earlier, but my youngest brother was in England with his fiance and her family. She came back with him and is going to live here in the US now. We all really like her. She's brilliant, fun and very kind. I hope they give me some more nieces and nephews to spoil.

The lake effect machine is cranking

Wind and cold here yesterday but little snow.
This early am, no wind and temps in the teens

We didn't get the 50 mph winds they were predicting here in the southern U.P. Drifting was bad,but I've seen worse.Wind was more out of the north so our driveway pretty much blew clear.We never lost power which has to be a first,other parts of the U.P.did.The northern U.P. got the brunt of it,sounds like 5' snow drifts were the norm up there.

Here on the Tug Hill Plateau, snow capital of the east, so far this storm was way over hyped. Some wind gusts, power was off for about 4 hours, and so far about 3” of snow.

It is ugly here. We will have ~8’ of accumulation by Wednesday night, if the current forecast holds true.
