So if a fella doesn’t have a stockpile of bought lures and runs out, what are some common around the house improvised lures? I know coons are easy, but what about beaver, fox, coyote, bobcat?

Sticks, mud, pinch points for beaver.

Meat, feathers, mice, and pinch points for the others.

Once you get a beaver you've got everything you need

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Have you caught any fox or coyotes yet?
If so use the dirt from the catch circle, or the vent or bladder pee. And you can continue using those same same things at different locations. Turds from old catch circles are also useful

If you have none of the above, use some bacon grease to collect the rest

Good luck

Put some cinnamon in vegetable oil let it set a day keep shaking it. Good for coon, beaver and rats.
