I made a tincture with 190 proof and it has surpassed what I expected but I want to make it thicker or more gel/paste like! Any suggestions on how to do this or go about it?? Thank you for helping me!

I have used Sure Jell before with success. Start out with a small amount and work up to your desired consistency. You can get it at walmart in the canning section.

what you have tinctured and strained can be doubled in volume by adding glycerin if that is not thick enough i use a product called Thick-it this works incredible well and without any animal refusuals
just be sure to add a little at a time and allow it to marry for at least a couple hours you can always add more

If you really want to test what an individual ingredient does to a formulation test the same formulation without the product and the formulation with the product side by side about a foot and a half apart. Its not always about a complete refusal, sometimes its just a product lowering the attraction. Know nothing about the Thick It product but I've tested glycerin probably more than anything else and it without a doubt lowers the attraction for coyotes at least. It might be slight but it does lower the attraction. Which tells me that coyotes can smell it. And one of the best coyote trappers I know told me once " sometimes its more important what's not in there than what is in a coyote formulation" referencing his strong belief that hard pressured coyotes can be conditioned to associating a particular ingredient with danger if its over used. A little food for thought, how many commercial formulations have glycerin in them? Not drawing any conclusions just something my mind was rolling around.
