Started September 15 and I was Out Today, Seen 4 Deer in 3 1/2 Months of Hard Hunting but they were Out Of Range, Got Til February 4 , Hoping My Luck Changes fior 2026

I'd quit hunting. I probably wouldn't even call that hunting it's more like just going for a walk in the woods.

I've put off doe management as long as I can. Georgia season ends on January 11th. So, I have today and 11 more days. Would like to take 8 off this 400 acres...or 1 per 50 acres.

My goal is to kill 8 does. I've killed one (back in mid-October with a bow).

Been waiting for one of my sons to assist with the doe killing, but he's about as interested in this as I am.

Im in a blind now. First 2 or 3 should go quickly...then ???....gonna get more difficult. Got in blind at 1530 hrs amd a button was already here. He just finished feeding and left. Need those mature mommas to step out....so the 7mm-08 can eat.

Wife has some family lined up to take the meat (we sure don't need anymore.)

I do need the deer info for my records.....weight, age, physical condition, fetus measurements, & CWD & genetic samples.

Sun is dipping lower & air is cooling.....it'll be in 40s b4 dark. They should move out to feed b4 dark.

That’s the way it goes. At least you’re seeing deer. Foundry man good luck on your quest. Hard to believe that there is a place that has a small deer population. They are everywhere here.
