I think he's mad at our president for blowing up
Drug boats...and exposing the Somalis fraud in Minnesota,..
That's my guess

Seems odd that Baco left so abruptly. He seemed like he wasn’t very easily offended. Can anyone confirm he’s still OK? Pretty cool guy to have on here even if he went goofy occasionally, daily. The goofballs are what makes this place special, whens the last time there was a legit bigfoot thread? Place is getting to tamed down.

Well, my take on Boco is he was/is an excellent fur handler, a decent trapper, and was willing to share what he knew. His trapping efforts were declining, and he was somewhat reliant on subsidies for his trapping to be profitable. Also, his never-ending support, to the bitter end, of NAFA and its implosion was obviously misplaced, though he never would admit it. As a person, I don't know. A few years ago, I found a book depicting a young wilderness explorer that travelled wild country back in the 1920s and 1930s, I think it was. He interacted a lot with the Cree of Ontario, trading food and furs. As such I thought Boco would enjoy the book, so I got boco's real name and address and sent him the book. I never got as much as a message that he got it so I sent him a PM here. His brief response was, "Yes, I got it." That was it. No thank you, nothing. So...I don't have much remorse for him pulling his tent stakes and moving on.
Just doing what I want now.

Hello trappers. Yes we have had some cold weather here last month or so off and on and a snowmageddon.Never seen so much snow here so early in the season. Just shovelled off the roof at the house and some places 4 and a half feet where drifted. I have taken advantage of the cold to frostscrape a pile of beaver for the upcoming auction.Got one freezer of frozen pelts emptied out now and two more to go-some more beaver some otter and a wolf and a nice spring bearhide to do yet.Hopefully the cold weather continues,it is normally good to frostscrape until into late feb. Just to clarify,Many Canadians are boycotting American, myself included in respnse to your government attack on our economy and the disrespect shown to our country. It is nothing personal to my friends on here. I just chose to not post on here for a while as a natter of principal. I still check in regularly to read. By the way Im pretty sure I thanked AV for his nice gesture,if I overlooked that,Thanks AV.I know I did point out to him in a PM the setting was in Maine, not Northern Ont.The title of the book is Cache Lake Country and is a good read if anyone is interested. Happy new year everyone. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2026/01/full-21521-280577-dscf6530.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2026/01/full-21521-280578-dscf6540.jpg)

Tunneling your way through the bush! I bet that heavy snow knocked down more than a few trees on your lines. We've been getting some heavy lake effect snow ourselves down here in western NY. Im about ready to start taking some beaver out of the deep freeze also. No frost scraping for me, temps don't get low enough. Put them on the beam and maybe try a couple across the knee again this year. It's something I would love to master doing.

Lots of awesome people but there’s a few cats that hang around that have a real issue with Canada and its people. I still check things out on here but not much has really changed. Some got the boot, others left on their own accord. Tight chains to my buddies on here, I’ll see you in Wyoming or some other close by conventions!
