How many of you use bait and lure at a set and how many use just bait for coyotes? I know of one well known coyote trapper that just uses bait, hasn’t used lure in years. What are your reasons for doing it the way you do?

Lure and urine I seldom use bait.

As Scott Welch said in his Predator DVD. If I dig a bait hole, I always put bait in it.

That's what I do for the most part anyway.

Depends, if I’m targeting grinners, coons and skunks, I use bait. If it’s foxes, lure. I don’t know what I use for coyotes because I don’t have them here.

I use horse whisper bait on a piece of hide nailed down.
Lures on the remakes, unless it's a drag set.

When Robert Waddell was doing his quest for 1000 Coyotes in a trapping season. All he used was Muskrat quarters and blood and urine collected out of the Coyotes he trapped. He said fresh was way better than rotten.
