I知 done with coon and canine trapping for this year. Anyway, for next fall, I知 going to incorporate tangle rods if I知 not near brush when I use snares. For those of you who snare with kill poles, what sized rebar do you use for entanglement? (Coon and canines.)

I use 1\2'' for coon and have tried for coyote but that is to light. It worked but they bent it at 90 degrees. I would go 5\8 for coyote if can find it. I welded a crossbar on my rods for entanglement.

How deep did you drive them in?

Mine are only 4 feet long. For coon I always figure 18 inches at least just like a trap stake. Or make them long maybe 6 foot and put them in the ground 2 feet. With the coyote I have caught they were driven in place before the ground froze and I still went down 2 feet.
