Went over to one of my neighbor's yesterday and helped him with some stuff

He is cleaning up and getting ready to sell his place

Doubt he ever trapped much but his dad did I know.

Was looking at some stuff he was getting rid of and saw this trap hanging and asked about it and he gave it to me

I can make out Victor and 2 and possibly special on the pan.
Doubted it had much value but before I took a wire brush to the pan and removed some patina I thought I would ask.

Never have seen this particular "second jaw" configuration

It's a Victor 1-1/2 double jaw. It's nothing special, but a good user trap.

Any idea on when it was made?

Probably just be a wall hanger, springs seem weak to me

I've only ever seen that style DJ on the pinch pan models. The 2 you're seeing is the bottom of the fraction 1/2. I'm sure its not real valuable, but it's not really common or I'd surely seen it before. I've been through quite a few traps in my life.

If springs are weak put a new set on and use it.
