Does anyone have some measurements for a good adjustable coyote or coon stretcher?

A lot of guys use the wire stretchers. I got these dimensions from the Trapper Education Handbook. Not sure if they are for wire or wooden stretchers
Coon: Small Length-34 Base-8 Shoulder-5.5 Neck--11.5
Average: 42 9 6.5 12
Large: 48 10 7.5 12.5

Coyote: (Same order)
Small: Length-65 Base 11 Shoulder-8 Neck-12
Average: 70 12 9 13
Large 75 13 9.5 14

I have an extra book or two if you need one

Wire stretchers are ok for raccoons but I've never cared for wire stretchers for bobcats , fox or coyotes these three deserve to be put up on wood stretchers as they'll look so much better in the long run , I'd almost be willing to bet that any fur buyer worth there weight in beaver castor will tell you the same thing .

Well your fortunate then . the fur buyers I've either worked for or sold fur to preferred fur stretched on wood .

That and I feel its easier to turn the pelts but to each their own , so if you feel the need try both and decide which you prefer .
My long hair pelts will continue to be put up on wood . and the grease fur on wire .

Gorney doesn't like wood because you can get a Better streach. I did some research on wood versus wire for rats, and I could get more then 2" using wood versus wire. And when rats were worth big money you want every inch, you can get.

There’s a big advantage using wood with rats. Lots of rats loose a size on wire.

I agree, Beav, and wish I had wood rat stretchers. When in Alaska, all I used was wood for everything, including marten, mink, otter, ermine, wolverine, etc. No rats where I was.
Now that I am in rat country, and all I bought for what I thought would be a fun, short rat line turned into wishing I had wood. Nearly a hundred rats later, I see I am ending up with lots of LG rats that would easily be XLG with wood.
But with the poor prices rats currently bring, buying wood rat boards doesn't make sense.

Just doing what I want now.
