Part of my season next year id like to target bobcats on my in laws property but near there property about a mile as the crow flys maybe 3 miles by road. Is a large piece of national forest about seven thousand acres ive had trail camera pictures of several cats in there the problem is its foot or horse traffic only if it worth it to Walk in and trap? Ozarks of central Missouri if that helps.

It's worth it, if you enjoy being outside, getting some exercise and getting a sense of the old timey way of trapping. I wouldn't want to do it all season long, but I think it would be worth it.

Good way to keep in shape
And you will get to see things that you never would driving a trapline
The silence of the woods is very refreshing to the soul

I check my traps on foot or skis when the snow gets deep, a total of maybe 7 miles this season, plus a couple of places that are around 30 minutes away from home on foot one way + another 15 of crawling through willow brush. It's good exercise and keeps the brain busy with new impressions.

Might depend a bit on the trap check laws and your employment status.
