I've eaten Lynx, bobcat, MT lion, coyote, unborn goat and shark fin. And I'm betting I've eaten dog, mama San served up some great meals when I was overseas, and I never saw any goats or cows or pigs. And I know you could buy dog from the outside vendors. I have also eaten horse meat and when in the Philippians I ate monkey on a stick.
Other then the dog meat and the monkey on a stick they were one-time things. And some were alcohol induced.

Ever get that thing where you are about to blow chunks that you've trying to hold back on and your salivary glands are working overtime to provide a slick trail for you puke to easily slide on by?

I saved the hindquarters from one last season. Cut it into chunks dipped in batter and fried. I enjoyed it. I will try it again this season assuming I catch one.

I've had it, quite tasty, As I understand it, the the old mountain men preferred cat meat to any other.

My thoughts exactly. Why people turn up their nose at others trying to make use of an animal is wild to me.

I've eaten mountain lion, which was fine. I know many who have eaten lynx but I like to use the lynx I catch to catch other lynx and just eat moose or beef instead. lol

We ate bobcat, cooked in an Asian style, on New Year's day this year. It was good. We had 23 people this year and everyone who tried the bobcat liked it. It was almost entirely finished.

Skinning a bobcat years ago I used a propane torch to cauterize an artery I had cut by mistake, in order to stop the bleeding. The torch cooked some flesh and it smelled delicious.

I know many trappers that eat bobcat and really like it. I myself haven't tried it.

I had some smoked mountain lion someone brought to our annual game feed. It wasn't bad. Also, tried some deep fried breaded timber wolf. That was nasty! Don't recommend that!
