the cop that shot Babbitt was never charged. should he have faced a jury?
Yes is the short answer
End qualified immunity (sp?)
Look at both shootings both protesters both not following orders . One climbing thru a window with no visible weapons The other behind the wheel of a vehicle
Both cases only one officer fired his weapon
A jury should decide if reasonable force was used not a panel of other officers same dept or not .

We've got a female problem in this country. This is why that up until a minute ago women were the property and responsibility of a father or husband for almost all of our history.
I think we actually have a male problem, too many males acting like females. I’m not talking about the whole gay thing. Just how masculinity has been demonized. A lot of men are afraid of what it might look like if they behave masculine.
Good point. My over the top statement is as much about fathers and husbands not stepping up and protecting our daughters and wives from themselves.

As an example, my youngest daughter just asked me to explain what went down as she has learned not to trust the media or her peers. Her mother I doubt even knows that something happened as she is not plugged in to current events and her default position is to discuss events with me if they come up.

From what I read he went to the hospital was looked at and checked out. The cynic in me wonders if he was sent to the hospital by his superiors to make the shooting appear more justified than it might have really been.
You can't possibly think it was okay for the woman to hit a Federal officer with her car, can you?
Even if her intention wasn't to kill him and the other nearby officers, or do them serious bodily harm, how was he supposed to know? She undeniably hit him with a deadly weapon, that is frequently used to kill and cause severe bodily harm. Her action is not legally significantly different than threatening a Federal Agent with a gun and then shooting them. Her shooting was legally justified.

Keith, maybe only that officer knows what his state of mind was at the time. I agree that cops have to do what they have to do when their lives are threatened. The video I saw didn't look much like that, but then again, even in football the refs have to look at various angles to make the right call. I only saw one angle. A lot of people want to see this officer as justified.... and a lot of other people want to see him as a murderer. Maybe we all saw the videos through those filters.
I'll wait until the bodycam footage gets released before I can see the before footage we're not seeing yet The Media always start in in the middle of the footage, not from the beginning
Yeah more like some cowboy couldnt take two steps sideways. Just had to defend himself. Go looking for fight usually find one.

SHE sought out a problematic situation, my friend. The vehicle had Missouri license plates, her girlfriend was recording, and she refused to comply. Had she run over the agent, certain groups would have praised her actions. While no life should be lost, everyone must face consequences.
These protestors, especially the paid ones, have gotten away with pushing their limits ever since Michael Brown took the room temperature challenge... and lost. In their eyes, its ok to drive off when the police tell you to stop and exit the vehicle. Or its o.k. to throw a water bottle at law enforcement. Or its o.k. to ......ad nauseum. Anyway, that crap isn't going to fly anymore. Its going to take a couple getting sent to the spirit world before they all start to realize that paid rioting isn't a trendy or profitable gig anymore.
In this just released home surveillance video, you can see the ICE officer was dead center in front of the woman's vehicle when she attempted to run him down.
There's no possible way she could have thought she wouldn't hit him, unless her eyes were closed.
Does this change you few forum liberal's view of the shooting?
The only legitimate "excuse" that's been floated out that is even halfway plausible to me is the tunnel vision effect that occurs during high stress fight or flight and that she was solely focused on the officer to her left and never saw the one to her front. But not really plausible, and even if she created the situation by refusal to follow the orders of the officer to her left.
The simple fact of the matter is that she didn't even have to have intent to do harm in this situation. She was a danger to others by her actions and the officer responded legally and accordingly to stop the threat.
As a side note, her mental state.
She very well may have been in a heightened state of fear and in full flight mode with complete disregard for the safety of others to point of being mentally unable to comply. And to that I would lay the blame to the hysterical, yes feminine hysteria, nature of what her peer group was feeding her.
In short the left has and is riling up the most hysterical unreasonable fear state among their followers to the point of frenzy.
Im afraid that there is a large part of our population that has permanently altered their mental state with this nonsense to the point of being unrecoverable.
On the mental state, I'm currently in discussion with a fellow beekeeper who is a quite intelligent person with great knowledge of bees including the scientifific technical stuff. Basically a genius, imo. But he's one of our southern hippies with that contrarian bent and he is totally gone over to progressivism and it's almost impossible to hold him to a cogent discussion without constant ad hominem personal attacks.
These people are not in control of their emotions and have rewired their brains to react violently to anything outside a presteblished set of leftist parameters.
There may be something slightly mental about people who spend many hours and days researching, posting and arguing on a topic that was clearly resolved in their mind from the start, as if they are responsible for trying to change closed minds on it.

He only took one step to his right , the vechile was already turning away from him . He was too busy trying to put a bullet through the front windshield into the beezoe , or he would not have been grazed by her vechile . He got one through there from the side of the vechlile but I doubt it connected at that angle . Certainly wasn't the fatal head shot .
I believe peeler is correct , send that dude to the hospital no matter what .......lol
I'm all for dead Anti Americans.....but this self defense baloney wouldn't fly if it was one of us shooting her outta self defense.....no way in heck
