I noticed some mold on a couple of coon hides, do I just wipe it off, or do I need to put something on them? I only have 1 hide per nail … so they are getting plenty of air

Wipe it down with vinegar.

Agreed.

Or rub it out with a little powdered borax.

A fan on the hides while they dry will help prevent mold as well.

I'd rub sodium benzoate on it because it’s handy in the shed.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Wet down a rag with wd-40 and wipe down the leather. It works like a charm.

Don’t thank me. Thank the late Greg Schroeder.

I use Hydrogen Peroxide on any leather products that show mold. Works great and never returns.

Interesting. There are more and more uses for that stuff.

Stop giving them free benefits and they will deport themselves.
