I picked up small generator this morning for 10$. I don't think it ran much in it's day. Oil looked like it was just changed fuel was shut off and muffler looked like it wasn't used at all. Starts right up and works just fine what I can tell.

The only I would like to know is if someone could ID the brand and it has a 6.5HP gas engine. What would be your guess and the wattage size of this generator. Thanks [Linked Image]

Thanks so much for your help OhioBoy!

Crappiekiller, no one knew if it worked so she said give me 10. As new as it looked I figured worse case scenario it would dirty carb. That would be an easy fix so I took a chance.

If you were closer I'd ask if you wanted to double your money.

Looks like a Champion to me but hard to tell

I was given a 2800 Champion the other day and told it did not run, looked at it and put some gas in it and 2nd pull it cranked

But it has no output

Need to call their tech line and let them walk me through the trouble shooting process.
All of the basic stuff checks out (breakers, wires, etc)

Could be a brush hung up in its holder not too bad to fix.

It looks like a Champion. I bought one about 15 years ago for a back up when the power goes out. I have never put gas in it.

Champion. Bought one about 20 years ago. Ran it 24 hours a day for 7 days after an ice storm. Have used it several times. When you get it going and are ready to store it take the metal bowl off the bottom of the carburetor to make sure all the fuel is out. Otherwise a little stays in and gums up/rusts/goes bad and is harder to start when you need it.

I have another one and they come in very handy if power goes out. Won't supply everything but can help with small things till restored.

I have used mine where we have no power like when I built a line shack a few years ago. Also when I tinned an old vintage small shop in a rescue effort to save it.

Well, you have it when you need one and a good investment to have at least a small one around.

a lot of them have a 10mm bolt angled off the bottom side of the bowl, pull that give it a day to drain and dry up and no further dis-assembly is needed.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
