Yep!!!

I am not sure but I think that the ones we see in the winter are different birds than the summer ones. I think our migrate south and the ones in Canada migrate to here. Just a guess as the act different around people. I think the crows do the same thing, our summer crows will land 50 feet form me when I am cleaning fish and come hopping in to get scraps but the winter ones stay distant........Just a guess

Snowy, it is very uncommon. we will hunt them as they are good eating, similar to dove. I only saw a few last year. None this year. still no ducks down here. Just went on a 90 mile ride to look for ducks on all the potholes I hunted. Not a single duck!!! I suppose they are hanging with the ducks because this will be the 24th year since our duck decline and by far the absolute worst. And folks, we had ducks before that. Savell has gone with me duck hunting but it was when the migration pattern was shifting. yet we limited out but the volume of birds was well below the norm. all of our soybean fields have been replaced with pastureland.
