Has to help....

Talked to a 30 yr great friend today, it's been a couple of years

Dang the crazy stuff Tony and I have gotten into,

in reality, neither of us should be alive with all the stunts we pulled

for a dollar or to save a dollar

Talked to my old friend yesterday, he finally called

He has the same ailment as me, they took his right leg

off above the knee 6 months ago, he is in deep depression

Feeling kinda bummed, he was also a circuit pitmaster

Smokes a mean rack of ribs

loss of mobility can be very depressing.

especially if you were a highly mobile person.

maybe you can go see him and get him out to some antics , maybe some dock fishing or boat fishing if he is mobile enough to get in the boat with help

shortly before my wife died I would launch the boat then pull it up to the landing she could sit on the bow and swing her legs in , then just set up there for the fishing trip.

I would lift and shove it back off the landing and go get in the back from the dock , then I could motor her around anywhere to fish
with her all the way in the bow the boat pushed a bit more water and I lost 3mph off the top end but 17mph with a smooth ride was good enough to get her out fishing and cruising the river.

it's hard not to get a little sense of Tom Sayer Huck Finn Mississippi river exploration feeling cruising and floating the big muddy the islands and back waters , side channels and sloughs you almost never see it all

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

That's the plan, I am in process of smoking some bbq for him

The days of long Line jug fishing are over....maybe ??

Figure if I can get him on the bow to pull the jugs,

It may bring a old sparkle to his eyes, getting past the depression

is the problem. We have been thru alot together

Some folk on here have met him, I dragged him to

a NTA convention in Mansfield, Ohio 20 plus years ago

we stayed with Belin in the teepee, Berlin and Tony hit it off great

Not seen a single thing worth a flip about getting older. I hobble around the trapline now like a 80 year old BUT at least i can still hobble around, fall around more like it.

Buzz once he gets all healed up should get fitted for a prosthetic leg, might get more mobility back than he thinks.

Still sucks!

Not my circus, not my clowns.
