I tried it , it maybe made it a little easier on coons
you should try it , if you have access to a compressor you can borrow and make up your own mind.
the idea is you cut a little slit in the inside of the leg near the paw , stick the air gun in and inflate it till it is big and round , then hang it up and start skinning. and that it makes it not as hard with the connective tissue. the thing is the connective tissue has a lot of stretch to it so I don't know that you really break it down very much
I think if you were asking , should I spend money on a compressor or a harbor freight winch that will pull like the ADC video of him skinning a coon , he is going to tell you , much faster and better use of money to make up a skinning machine with the winch because it will pull it , you cut it a little and you will be done with a coon in less time than it took you to inflate it and start skinning in the first place.

Asking questions is a good thing But might I suggest you just ease up a bit on the rapid fire questions Your enthusiasm is great, but just slow down a bit

How would you build a skinning machine No. Just no. Build or buy yourself a skinning machine, nothing else makes it easier.

I don't know what you are saying, but the link I provided shows many pictures and videos of many designs that should let you know how to build them.

Know several that tried it and all came to the same conclusion. you could end up wearing the pelt ever tried to skin a hairy basket ball?

Thanks I think I will try air skinning just on like a possum lol I'm definitely going to be building a skinning machine so any ideas or plans would be great then I could sift through them and find one I like.

Air skinning doesn't work. Pretty neat to see that coon blow up but when the air is gone the skin still firmly attached to the carcass. It might work once you make the opening cut in the hide and then use the air as a knife as you pull on the hide. I have a winch powered skinner.
