Are they just all junk, or have I gotten several brand's that are not good.
Have a couple 10 22's , my heritage pistol and my old 94 winchester 22.
My heritage and old 94 can and used to shoot any shell threw them.

So I bought chicken, what gun shop said to use in my 10/22's
They cleaned the one 10/22 other is brand new.
Shells don't shoot in either one of them. Just click
Heritage will shoot about every other Shells.
Old 94 no fire.
Bought and tried winchester Shells and none of them fire.
Anyone else having this trouble?

Use CCI. It's the only stuff that I've tried that will go thru my sister's 10/22

I've shot 1000s of CCI mini mag, they always go bang.

My old 10/22 that I bought new in high school will eat any 22 ammo that you feed it. Those things were never tack drivers, but they always went bang.

The ones from the heritage pistol have the deepest dent, and most of the ones from the 20/22.

Yeah my Heritage fires whatever I put thru it too. That is weird your CCI didn't fire. Were you using Mini Mags?

I've probably shot 15,000 rounds out of my Marlin 925 and I only had 1 that didn't fire. I put it back in the chamber and it went bang
I would take the ammo and the guns to a gunsmith

The last Winchester 22 long rifle I bought was garbage. Aquila and cci have worked well.

I remember as a kid my 22 shells always getting soaking wet, as I usually was. However, the shells always still fired.
Nowadays they get wet once, and alot if not most of them become duds..

CCI still have the wax dipped tip and water has never been an issue
But I've only shot CCI for near 50 years, I remember buying the amber sleeves for $1.50

Winchester always worked for me. Winchester, Magtech, Remington, CCi, all of it worked in my single shots and Henry. Only the CCi works in our semiautos tho

I can throw any of them in my 10/22 and it'll shoot them.

I have found quite a few duds in .22s and .17s lately

My safe is loaded with CCI mini mags, also a ton of CCI Quiets. Both have served me well.
Remington always did OK for me, so did winchesters. I have some Aquila too. Those did OK on the line.
Bought a bunch of different oddball boxes back when .22 shells were tough to find and they were limiting how much you could buy. Still have most of those boxes and some have names I can’t even find now or pronounce.
Federal have been hit or miss for me. My son won’t buy another federal for his center fires after a few bad experiences with them.

My favorites are the CCI Stingers or Stangers....same shell different packaging. Pricey but no issues ever with them and have an added wallop
