Well, it was just a thought.

On our coastal lakes with acidic waters I see a fair amount of beaver teeth like this. Anybody else see beaver teeth like these in your area?


My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

I see it in ponds where the baver are eating lily pad tubers in the winter. I figured it might be due to not chewing branches from a feed cache.

No such thing as feed caches where I trap. But lily pads are on the menu in those lake for sure. But you can't wipe it off. The stain is well into the enamel and part of the tooth.

I’ve used a grape cigar last summer when I realized I had no lure…….lol.
The beaver was going to the set regardless so I don’t know if it worked, but it certainly didn’t hurt, they’re curious.
